Glenridding Sailing School. Having decided to learn, or to improve your sailing, the
choice is yours: either to teach yourself or to be taught professionally. The former may sometimes be cheaper,

instructor.
Rookin House
Farm is an established adventure venue and has been
offering a wide variety of outdoor activities for over 20 years. Family owned and operated, Rookin House has a
strong focus on both fun and safety. The centre is just 4 miles from Ullswater, and 8 miles from both Keswick
and Penrith and easily accessible from the A66. All of the activities are based on one site with Blencathra
providing a spectacular Lakeland
backdrop.
Dalemain Near Ullswater, on the Northern fringes of
the Lake District, Dalemain is a real treasure. The fantastic

its Georgian facade, a wealth of Tudor and Mediaeval rooms and buildings. There has been a settlement at
Dalemain since Saxon times, when a fortified pele tower is mentioned and the present day courtyard is testimony
to the defensive nature of the hamlet surrounding that tower.
We protect and open to the public over 300 historic
houses and gardens and 49 industrial monuments and mills.
