Ullswater England’s most beautiful Lake
The village of Glenridding is situated at the southern end of lake Ullswater, popular with tourists of all kinds but especially mountain walkers who can scale England's third highest mountain, Helvellyn.

Our accommodation comprises, six individually styled rooms, four of which have wonderful views of the Lake and fells. All our rooms are en-suite with the usual refinements you would expect.
Cherry Holme guest house is in the village of Glenridding, close to the shores of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Renowned for it's stunning scenery, it quite simply is the archetypical Lakeland get away.
Cherry Holme is situated on the outskirts of Glenridding, which lies at the head of Ullswater. Wainwright regarded the area to be the loveliest square mile in all Lakeland.
Surrounding us we have the mountain ranges of Helvellyn to the West, High Street to the South and in the East, dominating our skyline, the magnificent Place Fell.
For the walkers amongst you, it doesn't get much better than this! From the beautiful low level walks along the shore of Ullswater to the famous Helvellyn via Striding Edge, there is something for everyone.
Ideally located not only for walking and sailing but also for simply touring the surrounding area, such as Ambleside, Windermere, or Keswick amongst others.
Cherry Holme, named after the second largest island on the lake, lies to the North of the village, just one minute walk from the lake shore. Built on an elevated position, Cherry Holme offers it's guests magnificent views of Lake Ullswater and it's surrounding fells.
